Your Day Master is the element of the day you were born — the Heavenly Stem of your Day Pillar. In a BaZi reading it is the reference point the whole chart is read from: it represents you.

Each Day Master is one of the five elements with a yin or yang polarity — for example a yang Water Day Master or a yin Wood Day Master. Your element and polarity together describe your natural temperament, and the elements around it show what feeds you and what is scarce.
